Experienced Electric Company
For 34 years Northwinds Electric Company has been serving the Salem and Portland, Oregon areas by providing trustworthy and honest electrical work to both home and business owners. Mike Skelton and John Carley founded the company in 1978. And, in 1979 they were officially registered with the state of Oregon as an official corporation.
Since then, John Carley has left the business and moved away to be the supervising electrician at an assembly factory for a large electronics firm. But, Mike Skelton is still the president and CEO of Northwinds Electric Co to this day.
Mr. Skelton began his career in 1966 while serving in the US Navy as a construction electrician assigned to a mobile construction battalion. During his time in the service, he performed his duties across Southeast Asia among other stationed areas.
In 1969 he left the Navy with an honorable discharge and settled in Salem, Oregon. But, this wasn’t the end to Mike’s career, but only the beginning. He was an apprentice electrician until 1973 when he moved up to journeyman electrician. And, in 1977 he graduated to supervisor electrician. Mr. Skelton has been an electrical contractor since 1971.
Northwinds Electric Co meets and most often exceeds all requirements from the state of Oregon. We are fully licensed, bonded and insured. Our CCB (Construction Contactor’s Board) license number is 36270. And, we happily honor all factory warranties.
